About the Blog…

The Land of Odd is a blog that used to be titled Oddcraft.  It was  a collection of strange observations from around World of Warcraft, but has since expanded out to include things like animation, other video games and mmo’s, and Dungeons & Dragons.

Expect to find the same weirdness as before, the same silly pictures, and  the same head-to-desk inducing rants, only on a much wider variety of topics.

About the Writer…

I’m Vrykerion. No, that is not my real name.  Although that would be an awesome name wouldn’t it?  The answer is YES. Yes it would be.  My real name is AJ, but call me Vrykerion. It’s much more awesome, and look at that picture – do I not deserve to be called something awesome with a hat like that? Anyway, I am a 20-something year old college grad with a degree in creative writing and a minor in computer science, and I spend most of my time working whatever job I can get (Currently, I work at used book store. Yay.)

I started playing WoW the October before The Burning Crusade, starting with playing for the Alliance, then switched to the Horde for BC and WotLK and now I play both.  I have a ongoing obsession with gnomes, which is neither natural or healthy, but it is entertaining.  I love the world that Blizzard has created, so rich and detailed.  Definitely an aspiration for someone who likes to worldbuild like myself.  However that also makes it just as much fun to find all the weird things that don’t have an explanation or to poke fun.  Hence why I started Oddcraft.

I’m also an animation nut.  That includes American animation (That’s everything from 1920′s to modern day Cartoon Network and NickToons), Anime, and everything in between (French, German, Russian.) I watch and enjoy them all (In other words, I’m not picky.)  I’m also an avid gamer outside of WoW as well,  I own most major consoles since the original NES.  Which is why OddCraft was ultimately expanded into The Land of Odd!
